Hi guys! How you doing?
Today I wanna talk about a big person. As you know (I write about in another blog) I study Biochemistry. An today, I'm gonna talk about a big biochemical, and Chilean!
His name is Pablo Valenzuela. Doctor Valenzuela studied Biochemstry in Universidad de Chile and is a Doctor in Chemistry in the University of Northwestern (PhD.)
In the year 1974 it received the scholarship of the International Scientific Fellow (NIH) and came back to The United States. In 1981 Chiron Corporation fused the biotechnological company, where it clones and it sequenced the genome of the AIDS virus.
The most importants investigation are the discovery of the hepatitis C, and the creation of the first vaccine for the hepatitis B.
I love the way of Pablo Valenzuela to mix the science and the business. I think his work it's awesome, and is Chilean and study here, in the same University of us! Doctor Pablo is the father of the biotechnology, one of the first man to mix the biology and the chemistry to make medicines; and with that, heal importants diseases of the human being.
What a great guy!
How interesting! I think he has also worked with Ramon Latorre, another Chilean biochemist :o
ReplyDeleteWow! Really interesting. It is so nice that he is Chilean and that he studied at this University. Who knows maybe in the future your name will be in a student's blog :)
