Who am I?

First, my name is Cristóbal Mansilla. I’m from Chile, and now I live in Santiago of Chile, the capital of the country. I was born in Fresia, a little city next to Pto. Montt, and I live there all my life, but I change to study Biochemistry in the University of Chile. I’m a real fan of the science, and now I have the possibility of to go ahead with my curiosity and, in a couple of years, work in that. My interest in the science includes the biology of the living beings to the chemistry behind that life. But I like a lot of other things, like the literature; my favorite book is “The catcher in the rye”, because I’m amazed of the talent of JD Salinger (the author) of describe and write the story of an adolescent with a beautiful timelessness. Of course, I have other hobbies like cycling and watch movies and series.

    I have never heard about Fresia, I will ask my friend that also lived in Puerto Montt about it. Wow it is a really big change for you then

Hi guys! How are you? Today i'm gonna talk about the holidays; that wonderful time to relax and rest of the year.  I think the vacations are so important. For me, this year was amazing but at the same time so exhausting; because the university is not like the school, and this months I live alone, so, that it's a little bit different what I was accustomed.  The holidays, I think I really deserve it!  So, first; I just want sleep and relax, ride in my bike and spend time with my family and my friends. PABLO VALENZUELA

Hi guys! How you doing? Today I wanna talk about a big person. As you know (I write about in another blog) I study Biochemistry. An today, I'm gonna talk about a big biochemical, and Chilean! His name is Pablo Valenzuela. Doctor Valenzuela studied Biochemstry in Universidad de Chile and is a Doctor in Chemistry in the University of Northwestern (PhD.) In the year 1974 it received the scholarship of the International Scientific Fellow (NIH) and came back to The United States. In 1981 Chiron Corporation fused the biotechnological company, where it clones and it sequenced the genome of the AIDS virus. The most importants investigation are the discovery of the hepatitis C, and the creation of the first vaccine for the hepatitis B.
